A year later.

So, it's almost a year since my last post. The resolution to blog frequently did not go as planed. So this year I decided not to make any promises or resolutions (except that I'm not gonna blog frequently, that way I can only improve). Instead I have a few goals, witch I will tell you about in, you know, a year (most likely, it will be my annual post).

2013 was an ok year. Met a lot of new and fun people. Went on a brilliant trip around Iceland with my even more brilliant choir. Worked night shifts at a gas station. Moved to a brand new student apartments (They have a dorm-is setup). And finally bought a KitchenAid mixer, it is so gorgeous, a dark blue one, I named it Frúin (The Mrs). Became an aunt for the second time. Failed some classes, passed some classes, the usual stuff. I also got to know myself a bit better, a good thing I believe. Although I still feel a bot lost and have no idea what I want to do in life and all that. Perhaps this will be the year I figure that out (hahh!).

At the beginning of this year I made a sort of 'new years' promise to my self (now realizing that it is dangerously close to a resolution) that I would hold out a blog for 2013. I said to my self that I would be agile and blog at least twice a week. Well, resolutions and I have really never worked out, we tend to drift apat in a mutual, forgetful manner. This time I'm not gonna give up. But I'm not gonna blog twice a week. I am going to do things at my own pace, wich seem to be irregular and rather random.

January so far has been a bit off. School started again. I got almost every flu that's been going around. So as a result I have been at home sick. But I've finished knitting a few things. I got a lovely baby alpaca yarn for christmas and I made a shawl and a hat from it. I'm quite happy about how it turned up. I watched the Die Hard movies for the first time a few days ago. They were better than I expected. And I just love the vilans! Young Alan Rickman and Jeremy Irons, hot stuf!

My flatmate, Pinky was in Austria and Germany for a week and while she was away I invited few of my friends over for some cake. I made Red Velvet Cake for the first time and I like how it turned out. The cake ended up being huge and the girls only ate a tiny little bit if it. But I got rid of it by luring people over to my place promising them a big slice of cake and a steaming cup of coffe.

I have decided that 2013 will be my year. Last few years have not exactly been great but I'm gonna change that.
I'm Rune, Icelandic, 24, student and enthusiastic about a lot of things. More about all that at a later time, I have things to put away and an hour and a half drive ahead of me.
